A charity auction that supports projects to protect rare and endangered animals of the Far East raised over two million roubles, the official website of the Year of the Environment in Russia reports. The auction was held on 6-7 September as part of the 3rd Eastern Economic Forum.
A tour to one of Russia's nature reserves with Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Sergei Donskoi became the most popular lot of the auction. It was sold to Ildar Neverov, head of the Sever Group, for one million roubles.
Rinat Gizatulin, deputy director general at Uralchem, bought the lot from People's Artist of Russia Yevgeny Mironov dedicated to the film The Age of Pioneers for 600,000 roubles.
The charity auction, which has been held at the Eastern Economic Forum since 2015, was initiated by Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev.
