Khasan is a young Far Eastern leopardess with a truly feline curiosity. She often comes right up to cameras and sniffs unknown objects. The leopard was first registered in 2013, after which she disappeared from trail cameras for a whole year. In 2015, she posed for the researchers again.
The name Khasan was chosen for Leo 26F by children from the Lotus environmental organisation in the town of Khasan, the Khasan District of the Primorye Territory. In 2015, Lotus was among the seven winners of the Leopard Keeper contest, for which they got the right to name this rare wild cat.
