Supervisory Board

The Supervisory Board is the top collegial body of the Far Eastern Leopards autonomous non-profit organisation. The main task of the Supervisory Board is to ensure that the organisation’s operations are consistent with its Charter.

Sergei Ivanov

Chair of the Supervisory Board

Special Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport

“Based on my personal impressions I can say that Far Eastern leopards stand out for their beauty and gracefulness. These animals are threatened with extinction, and were included in the Russian Red Data Book and the Red List of Threatened Species of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. The Far Eastern leopard can now be found only in the southwest of the Primorye Territory.

“The Russian government is taking urgent measures to preserve these wild cats. Providing them with an adequate habitat is of critical importance.

“A decision has been adopted to establish Land of the Leopard, the first national park in Russia, covering the key habitat areas of this animal.”
