Bela is a Far Eastern leopardess who lives near the Russian-Chinese border. She is now about six years old. Starting in 2014, she has been spotted regularly by trail cameras in both countries. Experts suggest that Bela, like many other wild cats, was born in Russia but moved abroad as the spotted cat population grew.
The leopardess got her beautiful name at the 2017 Leopard Day festival in Moscow. Nine-year-old Zhasmina Achilova, a participant of the In the Leopard's Land quest, won the right to name Leo 54F.
